Deadline for applications for the 2010/11 academic year was 31st December 2009. Another chance to apply for the following academic year (2011/12) will be announced later this year.

The UK is one of Tanzania's two largest bilateral development partners, and its largest provider of General Budget Support (GBS). The UK is also one of the largest sources of foreign direct investment. Improving the business environment (which includes the quality of governance) is the crucial key to Tanzania's prosperity. Tanzania is also a vital player on regional peace and security, through its leading roles in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the International Conference on the Great Lakes, and the African Union (AU). The UK and Tanzania are working together for prosperity, peace and security.
